RYFSA Newsletter: June 14

The Rochester Youth Fastpitch Softball Association is proud to announce the inaugural recipients of the RYFSA Scholarship: Ava Frost (left) and Ruby Flies (right). Congratulations to Ava and Ruby on this well-deserved recognition. Read more about their accomplishments and future plans.

We ask all fans, players, and coaches to model respectful, sportsmanlike behavior toward umpires at every game. RYFSA has zero tolerance for umpire abuse from anyone in attendance. Please help us live out our mission of teaching players “the core values of teamwork, sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, respect, commitment, cooperation, leadership, strong work ethic, self-esteem, and a positive attitude.”

Best of luck to our MN Stix teams as they begin a busy summer tournament schedule on June 12. If you are interested in learning more about club softball, come watch the Stix in action June 19–21 at the USSSA State Tournament at McQuillan Fields. There are still a number of Dibs spots open for this Summer season. If you haven’t signed up to voluteer, head over to our SignUpGenius today. We also continue to need passionate and energize parents and youth softball supporters to help us run Rochester Softball and to help ensure its strong future in this community. Softball picture days are coming soon! Coaches have received their team’s assigned time slot for either June 15 or June 16. If you have not received your team’s picture time, please contact your head coach. Photos will be taken at D-Bat.

The pre-order window is now open, and all pre-orders are automatically discounted. After the final scheduled photo day, additional orders may be placed through the galleries at full price. Gallery ordering information will be shared later, typically two to three weeks after photo day. All orders, including pre-orders and gallery orders, will include a shipping fee and will be delivered by mail.

A new baseball/softball card product option is available this year under the “Individual” pose. These cards feature your player in a traditional baseball/softball card design and come protected in a graded case for display at home.

Please make sure your player’s name is spelled correctly when placing your order. Kovash Photography will use the player name entered on the order if it differs from the name supplied by RYFSA. If you have multiple players, please place separate orders for each player; shipping fees after the first order will be refunded.

1. Retakes will not be offered.
2. Refunds will only be granted if your child is unable to participate on photo day.
3. If you would like your child to smile in the photos, please remind them before their turn or be present to prompt them.
